| The Jazz Lobsters have been tearing up the N.J. shore area for the last twenty five years with a band of 6 to a big band of 20 pieces playing everything from rock, motown to the swingin' sounds of Count Basie and Frank Sinatra. The band is led by James Lafferty, arranger and keyboardist, and includes some of the hottest musicians in the tri-state area who have toured and recorded with such artists as: Greg Allman, Mack and the Heart Attacks, The Village People, Sly Stone, Blood Sweat and Tears, Tower of Power, Dido, Stan Kenton, Tommy Dorsey, to name a few. Featured on Trombone is Rick Stepton, a veteran of The Buddy Rich Orchestra for more than 23 yrs. and original member of the jazz-rock band Lighthouse. On vocals and fronting the band, is, Bob Ferry, who displays amazing rock and jazz chops on guitar and can play anything from Hendrix to Wes. . The Jazz Lobsters have backed up major acts and entertained at their parties. When members of Bon Jovi and Skid Row wanted their wedding receptions to jump, they called in The Jazz Lobsters to entertain.
